Paw problems - What do you do about it?
Paw injuries, explained. Dogs can get injured doing so many things. Since their feet have no shoes on them their paws can come in contact with many potential hazards.

Paw infections can come from your dog walking on some glass or getting cracked paws in snow and ice of winter.
Dog paw sores can be quite painful and are prone to infection if left untreated. You should always check out the condition of your dog's paws and pads.
How to treat paw and foot infections.
- Wash the paw carefully
- Look for any cuts or foreign objects that may be under the skin
- Remove any burrs, matted fur and any splinters if you can.
- Take your dog to the vet for very serious cuts
- Dry the paw and apply a prescribed antibiotic ointment.
- Cover the feet with socks
- TIP: attach a shoe lace to the socks and place the shoelace over the back of your dog and then attach it to the other sock. This way the socks will be harder for your dog to remove.
